Balsamic Chickpeas with Red Mustard

If you haven’t tried GoodHealthy red mustard, this is a perfect recipe to do so - easy and delicious with lots of flavor. Our red mustard has a peppery and earthy kick that you are sure to love.

Balsamic Glazed Chickpeas with Red Mustard


Ingredients + GoodHealthy baby red mustard + 1/2 red onion + 1 cup cooked chickpeas (rinsed and drained) +4-6 tablespoons vegetable broth + 4 cloves garlic + 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar + 1/2 plus teaspoon of sea salt + 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce + 1/4 teaspoon sugar + Pinch red pepper flakes

  1. Sauté onion in 1-2 tablespoons of broth. Add chopped garlic, red pepper flakes and another tablespoon of broth, cooking and stirring for about a minute.

  2. Add red mustard, 2 tablespoons of brook, cook til greens are slightly wilted but still green. Stir in salt and remove with slotted spoon onto serving dish. Leave liquid in pan.

  3. Add balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, and sugar to pan (if liquid use broth)

  4. Add chickpeas and cook, stirring, over medium heat until liquid is about half gone. Spoon chickpeas over greens and drizzle with sauce.

  5. Serve with additional balsamic vinegar. Enjoy!!!
